Hussain Sajwani and his flourishing business career

Hussain Sajwani is the founder and CEO of Damac Properties. Born in the United Arab Emirates, the 61-year-old billionaire is one of most the influential members within the business circles of Dubai.

He was born in a middle-class family, and his interest in business grew at a young age as he helped in his father’s shop. Later, Hussain proceeded to join the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in economics and industrial engineering. Learn more about DAMAC owner:

After graduating, Hussain Sajwani landed a job with GASCO as a contract manager but held the position for only a few months. He proceeded to start his own catering business today which is currently part of the entrepreneur’s empire. It was in 2002 that he went a notch higher with his interest in business. He ventured into the property market creating the company Damac properties. Since its inception, the company has grown tremendously and currently commands a workforce of approximately 2000 employees.

His business success not only won him recognition within the industry circles but the company is among the biggest in the United Arab Emirates. With success of the Damac owner in business, Damac Properties got the opportunity to work with a company set up by the current president of United States, The Trump organization. The two firms landed to contract to build the newly constructed Tiger Woods Golf course that is a design and creation of Damac properties.

In 2011, the Hussain Sajwani created a new division under Damac Properties, named DAMAC Maison. The new unit deals with the provision of services to clients in hotel rooms and apartments across the country. With its continued growth, it is growing to be one of the biggest operators in the hotel industry in the Middle East.

The Hussain Sajwani family living in Dubai is one of the most prolific contributors in charitable events in the local communities and across the world. The family is involved in various charitable organizations that provide food and clothes to underprivileged children especially during the Ramadan season.
